Isolde was sold at auction on eBay and she brought over a thousand dollars for Belmont Ball Charity.
Wagner’s opera "Tristan and Isolde" was the inspiration for the One-Of-A-Kind artist doll. The Robert Tonner Company generously donated 19" American Models for the Bellmont Ball Charity Auction. "Isolde" was originally "Bailey" - number 75th out of a 500 limited edition.

The following pictures were taken as the doll progressed through the reroot and repaint stages (my parts of the project). Please click on any of them to see a larger version.

    Repainted face

The dolls original hair and paint were fully stripped.

Many extra rooting holes were added to give Isolde a massive head of hair. The reroot itself took many hours over two months time.

The finest, artist quality acrylics were used for the repaint and eyelashes (not clearly visible in the pictures) were added as a finishing touch.
